Clinton launches new firm
Former JPMorgan and RBS Global Banking managing director Randolf Clinton is launching a new advisory business.
Clinton Capital Partners will be an independent firm that provides investment advice to wholesale investors, small-to-medium enterprises and start-up companies.
The firm will provide companies with strategic and business development advice, capital sourcing, shareholder engagement and mentoring, while offering investors macro idea generation and introductions to the start-up community.
Clinton said in a note to clients that opportunities for a niche firm had arisen, largely due to a combination of increasing regulatory hurdles, unbundling, cost pressures and general fatigue across the financial services industry.
Clinton most recently worked in an institutional and corporate advisory role at Bell Potter Securities.
He was head of cash equities for Asia-Pacific at JPMorgan and head of equities at RBS.
Elsewhere, Ellerston Capital and Regal Funds Management have emerged as shareholders in ASX aspirant BWX Limited.
As revealed by Street Talk, BWX, the company behind skin care brand Sukin, has appointed Bell Potter as sole lead manager ahead of a $130 million initial public offering next month.
